All mail on the voyage bore the famous “Zeps” stamp which would serve as documentation for eternity of this giant aircraft.   The stamp design shows the giant airship on its journey over the Atlantic Ocean from Europe to America as well as its return flight east into Friedrichshafen, Germany. The Graf Zeppelin was the only known airship to fly completely around the world. The Graf Zeppelin was only taken out of service after the crash of the German airship Hindenburg. The early years of flight were daring and dangerous. Most of the flights were in unstable planes with very brave pilots.
